Please join us for another fun filled week at Vacation Bible School and Day Camp this summer as we learn more about God! In the mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm VBS attendees will be traveling to the edge of the universe from July 21 to July 25. Along the way we will be exploring the planets and God’s plan of salvation. Each day will include crafts, a nature nugget, and exciting games. Breakfast will be served at 8:00am, lunch at 12:00pm and for those who wish to stay during the afternoon Day Camp activities, there will be a light supper at 4:00pm. Transportation is available upon request. Please pre-register at the link below by July 1 in order to ensure a free T-Shirt and RSVP the meals your child plans to attend. VBS and Day Camp will be held at the All Nations Center Church in Wapato
The primary purpose of Vacation Bible School is positive youth development in a Christian based environment that educates children through moral values & ethical lessons. The program here at the All Nations Center allows children to make healthy choices in a safe and nurturing environment while interacting with caring adults.
Vacation Bible School contributes to a range of positive effects in youth. A national study of youth development outcomes from the camp experience - conducted by the American Camp Association (2005) - found that VBS participation led to increases in each of the following areas: self-esteem, independence, leadership, friendship skills, social comfort, peer relationships, adventure & exploration, environmental awareness, values & decisions, and spirituality.
Each of us here at the All Nations Center take our responsibility seriously when it comes to the care & guidance of the children in our VBS program. We hire enthusiastic Christian Counselors, who are responsible for guiding the campers during activities and ensuring their physical & emotional safety at all times. Counselors are assigned to smaller groups of campers who participate in activities as a group. Most of our counselors are in their late teens or early twenties, as it is an ideal job for high school or college students on their summer break.
